It is very likely that Ms. Madonna carried her 230 lb husband’s dead body to the spot it was found all on her own, using her vehicle to put the body in, and then picking the body up fireman style and dumping his body at that location.

No, it’s getting rid of the consequences of your actions and abandoning the situation altogether. Taking responsibility for a child you don’t want would be putting it up for adoption.

Forcing someone to bring a child into the world knowing full well that one cannot afford it, knowing full well that it is unwanted and may be neglected and ill cared for, and suggesting that the only possible option is to give it up to a government system which is already full of thousands of children waiting for homes, so full that it cannot properly house or feed them, does not meet my criteria for “responsible.”

Forcing a person to bring a fetus to term, forcing her to take leave off of career which often is not offered and leads to the possibility of losing said job, and certainly losing a great deal of finances, forcing a person to abandon her schooling, already in progress and paid for, or future schooling, forcing her to bring a being into the world at great risk to her mental and physical health and well being, does not meet my criteria for “responsible.”

Knowing that one cannot or does not want to be pregnant and deciding that the best course of action, for her mental and physical stability, for her financial status, for her time of life, or any other reason, is to abort that pregnancy, is very responsible.

Forcing women to bear children against her will is not only misogynistic, but also the single most irresponsible thing our society can do.
